I am proud to be a member of the largest and most supportive business community around. Founded in 2014 when entrepreneur-extraordinaire, Michelle Eddahar set-up the dynamic and supportive Business Women In Wiltshire Facebook group. Word quickly spread, membership grew and suddenly business women in neighbouring counties were begging to join.
Not only am I part of this free community, I also host not one, but two local BWI Meet-up groups on a monthly basis – informal networking in Bradford on Avon and Westbury and I absolutely love it. Anyone that knows me, will confirm that I love to help, support, bring people together and provide a safe space where people can feel inspired, motivated and listened to as well as having a right good laugh and eating LOADS of posh biscuits.
These meet-ups are open to any business women in the county [or beyond]
Our BWi ‘Meet Ups’ are a super-friendly way to get to know like-minded business women, develop working relationships, find collaborators and forge lasting friendships.
There is no limit to the number of Meet Ups you can attend; in fact, we positively encourage you to try as many as possible. With no subscription fee, you are free to come and go as your business allows.
Each Meet Up starts at 10:00am with a cuppa and a biccy, followed by introductions; the perfect opportunity to introduce yourself, and your business, to the group. Please note this is optional, so if you are nervous, or not ready to talk in front of a group, you will not be judged for opting out.
After the introductions, the informal ‘business surgery’ will open – this is where you can grab another cuppa and talk through any business-related issues you may have. This is also where ideas are created, solutions are found and relationships are forged.
All meet ups will look something like this
10:00am – Arrival, chat, grab a cuppa and a seat
10:15am – Welcome and introductions
11:15am – Grab another cuppa for informal chats and business surgery
11:45am – BWi news
12:00pm – Arrange 1 to 1’s and say our goodbyes.
The Bradford on Avon meet-ups take place at Seven Space, The Shambles, Bradford on Avon and the Westbury meet-ups take place at The Laverton, Bratton Road, Westbury.
